Name: Przemyslaw Marczyński - 1979.
The year I was born was a good one. It was snowing on the Sahara Dessert for 30 minutes. There was also a total solar eclipse over Canada, but I’m not sure how it has affected my further life. This very year, Pope John Paul II first officially arrived in Poland for his 9 days trip and the time of change has come for my country. And the wine - of course, you can find the very fine vintage wine of the 1979. Try Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1er Grand Cru Classe Pauillac Bordeaux.
Professional qualifications
I have graduated from the Department of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Automation of the Technical University of Lodz in 2007 and received the Electrical Engineering title. After the graduation I have returned to my hometown - Końskie (in the Świętokrzyskie province). I currently work for a company, which main area of expertizes lies in the industrial machinery sector. Most of my work runs on the Mac OSX and Windows and a large part of my responsibilities includes technical 2D drawings in the AutoCAD.
The Website - www.mojmac.pl
The “Mój Mac” website was created because my deep interest in the Mac OSX. Apart from the fascination with Mac OSX, I felt that there was not enough of software, which included Polish interface. That’s how the idea of translating applications was born and also how I started to explore further applications for the Mac. The first entries appeared in early 2007, at mac.marczynski.net. In the initial assumptions, the webpage was meant to be the source of Polish-localized software. With time, MM (‘Mac Marczynski’ and then ‘Mój Mac’) evolved in the direction of the software review website and as such it continues today.
You can find all kinds of information from the ‘Apple’ World’ there, especially reviews of the software, tips and tricks and useful information about more productive usage of the Mac computer.
Editorial work
Currently, I’m involved in ‘the one and only’ Polish Apple Magazine - iMagazine (from 2010), formerly known as ‘Moje Jabłuszko’ (2008-2010). I had the pleasure to be a moderator on the forum MyApple in (2006-2007).
In my free time I continue to translate interface of the applications for the Mac OSX. Among the official localizations you will find: iBackup, AppZapper or HimmelBar.
In addition to systematic cooperation with iMagazine, my articles can be also found on the Polish ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ portal (associated with the biggest Polish, national newspaper), in the section Technology (technologie.gazeta.pl). Also, together with several other Polish authors, I’m working on the official site dedicated to the Microsoft Office:mac 2011 (http://officedlamac.pl), providing information and tutorials on the effective use of this well known office suite.

I suffer from a chronic lack of time and a chronic lack of sleep. I’ve got too many interests, which makes me the ordinary child of my times – times of the Internet, computers and fast technological progress. Musically, I’m undirected. I listen to practically everything, including Jacek Kaczmarski, Fleetwood Mac or Dixie Chicks. My all-time-favorite band is the Pink Floyd.
My joys and sorrows I share with the greatest of the women – my wife – Kate and there is also Marta –my beautiful, gorgeous daughter - who is a blessing of my life and the source of all the joy and happiness.
Thank you both for the constant support and comfort you offer me everyday!
